Located in the center of the largest ski resort in Salzburg, the client, wants to renovate and transform a complex of existing buildings, including an apres-ski bar. In the pictures you can see our current 3D VISUALIZATIONS for it.
We have reinterpreted the skiing experience in terms of concept and architectural design, while also drawing on traditional design elements.
Likewise, there is the motivation to accompany the vacationer, in addition to the actual mountain experience, with an additional offer.
From renting skis in the morning in our own sports store and ski depot, to coffee in the morning, lunch and snack afterwards, it will also be possible to end the evening with pleasure in our own bar.
In the basic architectural consideration one finds in the cubature 3 building volumes, whose rectangular basic form finds its conclusion upward with differently inclined gable roofs.
The continuous wooden facade in conjunction with the simple basic form is intended to recall the typical regional, free-standing,
almost forgotten HEUSTADELN, remember.
In these three structures are organized the ski rental or the sports store and the catering.
Between this yet traditional design language, a free-modeled volume was developed, which is allowed to provide the space for the bar operation.
The shape is meant to remind of a MOUNTAIN and reinforce this impression with the chosen materials.
In addition to steel, stone facades in combination with glass surfaces are intended to emphasize the abstract yet clear design language.
The bar itself is organized over two levels and can be partially opened depending on the weather.
A possible use in the summer has also been considered. In addition to the rental of bicycles or the sale of summer sporting goods, you can book the catering and the volume of the mountain for events of all kinds.
