Fuschler Herz – affordable living in Fuschl am See
A project from Fuschl – for Fuschl.
Fuschl needs housing. But not at any price.
High land prices, rising construction costs and limited building land present major challenges for subsidised housing. With our project study “Fuschler Herz”, we at m3 demonstrate how affordable housing, architectural quality and valuable green spaces can be combined.
Compact living. Space for greenery.
The study examines a four-storey building with around 35 units. Predominantly subsidised rental apartments with two to five rooms are planned. In addition, the integration of medical practices or medical uses is being examined.
A restrained architectural language with render, timber surfaces and façade greening defines the concept. The recessed top floor as well as private balconies and terraces create diverse outdoor areas.
The compact building form and an underground car park with 28 spaces enable contiguous green, play and amenity areas. The aim is to create a residential environment that offers both retreat and encounter.
Thinking together about the future
Photovoltaics on suitable roof and façade surfaces as well as the potential combination of noise protection and energy generation complement the concept. The project thus offers the opportunity to make the objective “Energy-autonomous Fuschl am See 2035” visible in a concrete residential development.
Our goal is a long-term attractive home for people who live, work and wish to have their centre of life in Fuschl.
The project video presents the framework conditions, our design concept and the potential for Fuschl am See.
